Music Doctoral student Joyce Cho sings no audience but members of the media during a musical memorial as Oikos University reopens after the April 2nd shooting rampage by former student One L. Goh, 43, that killed seven and injured three in Oakland, California. There has been a noontime musical memorial everyday except Sundays since April 6th and they will continue until the end of the month.
Computer engineer and education technology entrepreneur Ben Greenberg poses for a portrait in San Francisco. Mr. Greenberg, who is now an engineer for a company called SafeShepard, developed TextYard, a Web-scraping tool that automatically harvests textbook prices for students. He open-sourced the scraper program recently fearing that it might violate a digital-trespassing law.
